GUI Module for Fuel level Sensing System

 































 

 

 

 

 


The Accurate Fuel Level Sensing System GUI is to act as an input/output interface between the operator and the fuel level sensing system. The ultrasonic sensor is used as fuel Level Sensing system. The communication between Accurate Fuel Level Sensing System Software and the ultrasonic fuel level sensor will take place through RS-485 serial communication interface. . Depending upon the capacity, size and shape of the tank (which is found out by the computing system, based on tank part number fed by the user), the computing system will configure the ultrasonic sensor accordingly.

The ultrasonic fuel level sensor will sense the amount of fuel present in the fuel tank. Depending upon the amount of fuel present in the tank, the sensor will give proportionate digital fuel level data to the computing system. The computing system shall display the data in GUI at the front-end display, which shows the current real-time fuel level in the tank. The ultrasonic fuel level sensor communicates only with the computing system and the fuel tank. The fuel level sensor gets power from 24V DC supply and gives the digital fuel data corresponding to the present fuel level in tank. The sensor sends this data to PC through RS485 serial communication interface. The PC transmits or receives data to or from sensor through RS485 interface via PCI communication card. Another important feature of this ultrasonic sensor is that it can be easily configured (programmable). In accordance with the size, capacity and shape of the tank, the ultrasonic sensor can be programmed to work well for cylindrical, rectangular and non-linear shaped tanks.
